Roboporium has taken robotics education to the next level. We are proud to introduce our exclusive Robots Promoting Education Through Science (Robot P.E.T.S.) program. Our curriculum utilizes the latest in educational robot technologies from Japan that anyone can use to teach robotics in a systematic and step-by-step fashion. The program currently consists of 3 separate modules; Introduction to Robotics; Intermediate Robotics & Customization; and, Advanced Robotics Principles.

There has recently been a significant increase in spending on robotics related technologies by governments, schools and private institutions around the world. This has subsequently caused the market for personal and service robots to grow at an explosively alarming rate, ultimately creating new technology clusters, and of course high-tech robot fans. At the same time, there has been a steady increase in robotics purchases by the average consumer, showing a healthy and stably growing robotics market. For more info click here. The 2003 UN Economic Commission Report on Robotics even noted that robotics was experiencing unprecedented sustained growth, and predicted a seven-fold growth in robotics markets by 2007, and a twenty fold increase by 2015.

Promoting Education through Science (Robot
P.E.T.S.)
is the latest KumoTek
initiative to bring robotics to the class room, and provide
students with the information and tools necessary to compete
in the 21st Century. The goal of the program is to introduce
cutting edge robotic technologies to schools and learning
institutions throughout the nation, educate today's youth
through fun and highly practical robotic solutions, and
increase interest in all areas of science, while developing
the minds of tomorrow. It is no secret that compared with many countries throughout Asia and Europe, many youth in America are significantly lacking the training, knowledge and motivation necessary to propel them to academic excellence in the sciences, especially math and engineering. Our goal is to pro-actively address this problem by providing fun and practical hands-on educational solutions at affordable prices. We believe that by stimulating interest in robotics at early age, students will improve areas of weakness in math and science early on in life, and actively pursue more challenging academics as they advance through their primary education. This program plans to indirectly plant the seeds of interest in robotics, and ultimately give students the skills necessary to excel in advanced classroom environments. |
